Placement Cell

The college has a Placement Cell which is an integral part of the institute. The placement cell was established in the year 2008-09. It ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangements for placing its students in premier institutions. The college placement cell works tirelessly throughout the year to facilitate students' entry into the job market through campus placements. The Placement Cell remains in constant touch with the employers to intimate their human resource requirement. When there are requirements, a mutually agreeable date is fixed for holding interview at the college campus and the candidates are guided and trained for the demonstrations and interviews. Since the inception of the placement cell a good number of students have secured jobs in various educational institutions. Many students have been benefitted through the placement cell by means of their recommendations to various institutions. The request for the teachers is received telephonically or through personal contact. The college takes a prompt action to place its students by contacting them on phone and informing them about the place and time of interview.

Its Objectives are as follows:

To identify the student potentiality and mapping their competencies.
To create and maintain a data-bank on profiles of our present students.
To develop linkages between different schools/Educational institutions to organize the campus interviews for the recruitment of the graduates and postgraduate students of the college.
To give information of the new vacancies in government/semi government/Private school and college levels.

· To give information on various courses of higher studies and competitive examinations.

· To make student-teachers more confident and employable through organizing Workshops, Seminars, Interviews, Extension Lectures and skill development programs.

Activities of Placement Cell

The placement cell attempts to keep the students informed about potential job opportunities and guidance from time to time.
Keeping the student- teachers informed of the new vacancies in government/semi government/Private school and college levels.
Interact with schools and arrange interviews.
Organize Career orientation & guidance Programs
Conduction of Mock interviews in college Campus.
Training in resume writing.
Display of information related to vacancies in different school.
Guiding students to prepare different competitive examination like NET, TET etc. by providing up to date information and preparation tips.

Working on the lines to obtain the above stated objectives, there is a dynamic placement cell in Malwa Central college of education for women headed by the principal Dr. Naginder Kaur who exclusively looks after the activities pertaining to the training and placement. The principal is assisted by placement officer and the faculty members.
