Dear students, ever since the inception of the college, we are striving hard to provide quality education to girls, hailing from rural areas. We are committed to our vision and mission in all our endevours.

The progress of an institution depends on the performance of its students in academics, sports, and cultural activities alongwith maintaining human values. I feel proud to say that our students are really doing excellent in all these areas. We are equipping our future teachers with 21st Century skills, confidence and positive approach essential to nurture creativity and innovation.

As we all know that learning is a life long process. When you learn something new do not imagine that you have mastered the whole world, you have just stepped on to the shore. There are always new avenues to be explored. So burn yourself into the light of knowledge and be able to ignite young minds then success will be yours.

Khalsa Dewan institutions are now managed by independent managing committees and are patronized by the Khalsa Dewan, Ludhiana, Which is a prominent Educational Organization in this region of the state of Punjab and is represented by people have nurtured and given shape of the Dewan for nearly one century.

The history of the College goes back to the year 1955 when India, particularly the state of Punjab, was making efforts to carry education to every village, not even represented on its educational map. There was an urgent need to open a teacher training college which would cater to education needs of rural Punjab, which in turn led to the establishment of this college. The main purpose of starting this college was to help the state in meeting the growing need of properly qualified and efficient teachers, a need which was urgently felt in the wake of progressive educational policies of the state of Punjab.

Ever since its inception, the college has served the cause of women education and contributed its big share of providing qualified women teachers, a promise that still remains to be realized completely. It is heartening to note that although situated in an urban environment, the college has always drawn its large share of graduates from the rural areas of the state, Malwa Central College of Education for Women remains the object of pride for the people of the state, in general, and those of Ludhiana district, in particular. The College offers B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses. It is permanently affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh and National Council of Teacher Education and is covered under section 2(F) and 12(b) of University Grants commission. The college has the honour of being assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.

Malwa Central College of Education for Women with its traditions and venerable past aims to provide qualitative learning experiences to develop the holistic personality of the teacher trainees through academic excellence, professional competence, personal interpersonal and societal skills so that they may be beacons of excellence in their Endeavour. The college is committed to its mission and vision in all its endeavour.
