The Economics Society envisions life-oriented education through skill enhancement and enrichment of moral and professional ethical values of its members with the aim that they can contribute toward social, moral, economic and cultural development of the society as well as nation at large.
Objectives of the Society- To develop Leadership skills among members of the society.
- To provide administrative experience to the members of the society.
- To develop among them organising ability.
- To develop among them the competence of running the subject society.
- To provide them with practical experience in handling the task.
- To provide them platform other than the classroom for expression, participation and deliberations on economic issues.
- To aware them of various days, events and activities related to their subject.
- To ignite Innovative Ideas and Creative Thinking
- To develop Interest in the Subject of Economics among Members of the Society.
- To Develop Awareness among Members of the Society related to various Socio-Economic issues of Indian Society as well as Economy of the Country.
- To Develop Literary Taste and talent among the members of the Society
- To Work for College Magazine Section.
To nurture the overall personality of the students and to provide them exposure to administrative activities, Malwa Central College of Education for Women has established subject related societies and the Economics Society is one of them. The composition of the governing body of the society is very simple and it is based on a democratic setup. The society has six posts in its governing body. Out of these six members of the governing body, four are elected members which are selected every year through the democratic process on the basis of secret voting. All the decisions in the society were taken on the basis of a majority vote.
