The Music Society was constituted with the vision to provide an environment that fosters and challenges intellectual curiosity and artistic growth and offer high-quality and diverse musical events and experiences that enhance the lives of individual students.
Objectives of the Society- To enable students to understand the importance of Indian Music.
- To enable students to perform in the morning assembly.
- To enable students to participate in different cultural activities
- To enable students to perform in different religious activities.
- To develop understanding and aesthetic sense in students.
- To develop their aesthetic sensibilities.
- To bring Music into the center of exploration.
- To explore the adaptive strategies of artistic expression.
- To learn to identify areas that suit the learning process through music.
- To explore the Role of the teacher as a creative guide.
Malwa Central College of Education for Women has established a number of Subject related societies and the Music Society is one of them. The music society is committed to cultivating active and devoted music teachers and performers. It has a dedicated faculty who strive to communicate a passion for music and its positive role in society.Students have the opportunity to specialize in an instrument or voice, and at the same time explore music through both vocal and instrumental. The composition of the society is very simple and it works on the basis of democratic principles. The society has 4 members and out of these four members of the society, two members are nominated which are selected every year from the students who participating actively in Youth and heritage festival, inter college and intra college music activities.
