Vision of Home Science Society

The vision of the Home Science Society is to help girls gain an understanding of home science, business and society so they can better serve themselves, their families and the larger community. It strives to disseminate information and abilities for improved use of natural and human resources. It also has values of imparting entrepreneurial skills to young women for their overall growth and self-reliance. The society instills in students a great aesthetic sense and meticulous observational abilities.

Objectives of the Society

• To promote the welfare of the family through sound home-making education.
• To provide opportunities for bringing students close to the society and to acquaint the people with the services and contribution of the home science in their life.
• To help the students in imbibing the habit of self-reliance, self-dependence and love for manual work.
• To provide opportunities for the development of the constructive, explorative and inventive faculties of the students. .
• To make the students understand the values of time and to help them in the proper utilization to their free hours.
• To develop students interests and participation in the practical application of the knowledge related to different branches of home science.
• To encourage individual and group activities.
• To develop psychomotor skills of students.
